Dynamics of Life

It has been quite a year or two since I made a post and it is because, life has been happening. It has been a discovery of adult life through and through and we still strive, hoping not to give up. On my first day at this particular job I decided to do some reflections. I realized we are conditioned to our environment, what we surround ourselves with normally dictate the way we live our lives. Common analysis.

When you grow in a loving and open-environment or home, you expect the world to be open and loving towards you. You find it very hard to accept anything less. Surprisingly, you are not going to be in that environment all your life. You are going to experience the most absurd and inconvenient things that you cannot escape from and have to actually train yourself to get use to such unfamiliar realities.

Truth be told, that is what sums up life. Life is going to surprise you. Maybe you can escape from these surprises once in awhile. But life is set up in a way that, when you do not learn from a lesson, the lesson keeps repeating itself, just in different forms but the same message. You would have to eventually figure your way around the lesson in order to face another lesson.

I have also come to figure out that, life will not be good to you just because. The realities of life is not based on what you deserve or do not. The realities of life is based on what lessons you need to have at what point. If your bestfriend is supposed to die for you to know and conquer grief, that is what you would get. Hard truths. If you are supposed to be distant from your family and know and accept the diversities of life, that is also what you get. You can ask, ‘why me?’ all you want but technically, who else should it be if not you? Nothing happens to you because you are good or without sin. Ecclesiastes 9:11 says, “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all.

You have not evaluated the bigger picture of these outcomes. You are only looking at the now and comparing your goodness to the situation, which is good, but maybe in order to reach your utmost purpose, such unwelcoming situations have to happen. Take it as a training field to survive better and stronger for what is to come. The Bible says, in everything, give thanks. Hard right?, but that is all you can do!
